Cosmetic Dentistry Services

People choose cosmetic dental procedures for different reasons. According to the latest 2011 cosmetic dentist survey, the following are the most common reasons patients seek specialized care:

  • Improved appearance
  • Self esteem
  • Professional success
  • Health
  • Improved relationships

Cosmetic Dentistry is the art and science of creating a beautiful smile. With new advances in teeth bleaching and bonding, an ordinary or unpleasant smile can be changed into the dazzling smile you’ve always wanted.

Your smile is important. It’s one of the first things you notice when you meet someone. A whiter, brighter smile is beautiful – and can improve your self image, particularly if you have damaged or discolored teeth. Even simple procedures such as bleaching or bonding can be real confidence-boosters.

Teeth Bleaching

There’s no reason why you can’t have a smile that looks great and makes you feel good about yourself. Tooth bleaching options makes it easier than ever to achieve the smile of your dreams.
Your lifestyle and the aging process can stain and darken your teeth. Many things we do on a regular basis can contribute to stained teeth, such as drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine or smoking. Tooth bleaching, also known as tooth whitening, can get your smile looking its best. It is perhaps one of the most popular cosmetic dental treatments available.

Tooth Bonding

Adhesive dentistry allows the dentist to treat teeth in the most conservative fashion. Restorative materials that are bonded to tooth structure not only replaces missing tooth structure due to decay or trauma, but also strengthens and supports the remaining tooth structure without removing healthy tissue. Bonding can be used as a procedure for teeth that are chipped, cracked, discolored or miss-arranged, and is an alternative to veneers. Unlike veneers, bonding can be done in a single visit.

Cerec® Crowns

CEREC® stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. This high-tech system allows us to design, make, and place restorations—including crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers—in only ONE office visit, so you spend less time at the dental office! Even better, the CEREC® system eliminates the need for plastic temporaries while your restorations are sent off to a lab, a process that can take weeks and require a series of dental appointments.

With this technology we take a digital picture of your actual tooth and customize a crown to fit your specific tooth. You will be able to see the doctor making your crown right before your eyes.

CEREC® has been clinically proven in millions of successful restoration procedures, and patients all over the world have benefited from its convenience and cost effectiveness. Restoring damaged teeth before it’s too late can protect your smile for the future, and with CEREC’s natural results, your restorations will be virtually indistinguishable from your natural teeth.

Veneers

Veneers are very thin, tooth-colored shells that are custom-fit and bonded to the front of the teeth to give you a bright, even, and attractive smile. Commonly made of composite (plastic) or porcelain, veneers make it possible to correct a variety of color and shape problems.

Cosmetic problems that can be corrected with veneers include:

  • Teeth that are slightly crooked or stained
  • Repair broken or chipped teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Teeth that are different lengths

Tooth Recontouring

Do you have a small defect in your smile that always draws your eye in the mirror? A chip in a front tooth, some worn edges, or shallow pits or grooves in the tooth’s enamel are all minor issues, but they do stand in the way of having a perfect smile. If you suffer from one or more of these problems — even to the extent of a minor fracture or overlap… they all can be fixed using a procedure known as tooth contouring and reshaping.

Recontouring is one of the most conservative cosmetic procedures. It is an effective way to correct minor imperfections. It can improve overall dental health by removing minor crevices or overlaps where plaque or tartar can build up.

However, recontouring is not a substitute for veneers or bonding. Recontouring probably would not be the best course if your teeth have a major imperfection such as a deep chip or fracture. Occasionally, recontouring can’t completely fix tooth imperfections. Then your dentist may combine the treatment with bonding.

Wireless Braces

Braces used to be the only way to straighten teeth affected by malocclusion (a bad bite). But now there is a system that allows us to straighten your teeth without using the brackets and wires of traditional braces.

Wireless braces can give you the beautiful straight teeth you’ve always wanted. It works through a series of removable and comfortable aligners that no one can even tell you’re wearing because they are virtually invisible!

This wireless braces system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually reposition teeth. We have chosen to offer this system because the aligners are visually more appealing than braces. They’re also removable, which makes it easier to clean your teeth after eating. They are smooth and comfortable, and they don’t irritate your gums, cheek, or tongue. The system also eliminates any allergic reaction that you may experience with metal.
